Woodlands Waterway Family Shoot {houston texas portrait photographer}

Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph this fun family down at the Woodlands Waterway. I’d never shot there before, so it was a fun adventure exploring all the various scenes. The family wanted a bit of a mix of urban and nature, and this turned out to be a great place to find both of those things.

The boys definitely loved exploring the tunnels and fountains – they had exactly as much fun energy as you’d expect a 4 year old and a 2 year old to have! As a result, I got a lot of this:

And a lot of this:

Which have had me laughing out loud throughout the entire editing process thus far.

But they were really incredibly sweet boys. It was easy to tell that they truly loved each other as well as being so very loved themselves. They also both had gorgeous eyes and adorable smiles, and as a result I also got a few like this:

and a few like this:

Which is just about all you can ask from such wild and crazy boys! We had a great time, and I absolutely loved getting to know this fun family.

Just for funsies, here’s a selection of some of the vintage-ized images from the shoot with my nieces. Having the old-fashioned sled and the fun present boxes made for a great set – now if only we could have had some snow! I guess that’s too much to ask for in Houston. ;)

These girls are a photographer’s dream come true! {houston texas portrait photographer}

I had a photo shoot a few weekends ago with my adorable nieces, and boy did they make me look good! It’s pretty much impossible to get a bad photo of these two girls.

But then again, I’m a little biased. ;)
