Woodlands Waterway Family Shoot {houston texas portrait photographer}

Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph this fun family down at the Woodlands Waterway. I’d never shot there before, so it was a fun adventure exploring all the various scenes. The family wanted a bit of a mix of urban and nature, and this turned out to be a great place to find both of those things.

The boys definitely loved exploring the tunnels and fountains – they had exactly as much fun energy as you’d expect a 4 year old and a 2 year old to have! As a result, I got a lot of this:

And a lot of this:

Which have had me laughing out loud throughout the entire editing process thus far.

But they were really incredibly sweet boys. It was easy to tell that they truly loved each other as well as being so very loved themselves. They also both had gorgeous eyes and adorable smiles, and as a result I also got a few like this:

and a few like this:

Which is just about all you can ask from such wild and crazy boys! We had a great time, and I absolutely loved getting to know this fun family.

Thanksgiving Antics {houston texas portrait photographer}

Since my new “nifty fifty” lens (50mm f/1.8) arrived in the mail only a few days before thanksgiving, it was inevitable that I’d be spending most of the holidays behind the camera. Luckily, my family happens to contain plenty of adorable kiddos and puppies to use as subjects.

As much as I’d love to spend the whole weekend editing these photos so I can share them, I actually have a few portrait shoots that need to be finalized first. Still, I can’t resist posting at least a few. Enjoy!
